Sweet smell of success for Marco
Marco have been awarded a contract to supply their TRAC-IT MES Factory Floor Efficiency system to FCL Ltd.
Part of the renowned PZ Cussons Group plc, FCL supplies specialist fragrances and essences to group companies around the world. PZ Cussons has a long history of supplying high quality, discerning household toiletries and cleaners, and their well-known brands include Imperial Leather, Carex, Charles Worthington and Morning Fresh.
Maintaining the consistency and quality of the essential fragrances and oils that go into these products is of paramount importance, requiring optimum production control. Marco's TRAC-IT MES will play a vital role from the time raw materials arrive at goods-in to the time finished products leave the plant. The modular approach offered by TRAC-IT MES enables flexible, yet thorough, control of all factory production processes.
The diversity of products and batch sizes require optimum control to ensure batch consistency is maintained in parallel with ensuring all ingredients are added to particular batches. The Recipe Control Module, which is now operational, guides operators through the complete process, whilst automatically managing stock usage and availability. The Marco system can be used for both manual and automatic batch make-up, maintaining electronic traceability throughout the process.
As the TRAC-IT MES system is rolled out further, the WMS (Warehouse Management System) Module will be added, providing full procedures for production requirement picking and issuing together with stock reconciliation. To complete the process, TRAC-IT MES controls the picking of the finished drummed-off product from the warehouse for despatch against advised sales orders.
