Morocco fresh produce sector set to benefit from a return in investment within weeks
Feb 2012:
This month the Moroccan fresh produce industry is set to receive a visit from profitability experts Marco following a surge of interest in their pack-house control and improvement systems. Marco will be talking to a cross section of pack-houses about their experiences in providing solutions that boost profits to the fresh produce sector around the globe.
Murray Hilborne Marco’s MD comments “we are very much looking forward to meeting with some of the biggest growers and packers in Morocco and exploring ideas about improving efficiency and reducing over-pack to virtually zero. Morocco is increasingly an important exporter of fresh produce to Europe with a growing economy and a progressive business attitude. This is creating a need for investment in technology that improves the packing processes and provides a big enough profit differentiator to outsmart their competition. The companies we have talked to so far recognise this and can also see that the return on investment on our system is so fast that the capital expenditure required has a negligible effect on cash flow”
